  • technical data needed to make the website work, such as your IP address in the server logs of our hosting partner.

You are not obliged to provide us with personal data, but without certain data we cannot answer your question or work with you. If your data is no longer correct, please let us know.

4.1 Requests via the website

If you fill in the contact form, we use your data to answer your request, schedule an introduction and assess whether BRIQ is the right partner for your project. The legal basis is taking steps at your request prior to a possible agreement, and our legitimate interest in responding to your question.

4.2 Customers and clients

In the context of our services, we process the identity and contact details, and where necessary the VAT number and bank account number, of our customers and clients and their contact persons. We do this for the performance of the agreement, customer management, accounting and, where you so wish, to keep you informed of news about BRIQ. The legal bases are the performance of the agreement, our legal obligations, our legitimate interest and, where necessary, your explicit consent.

4.3 Suppliers and subcontractors

We process the identity and contact details, and where necessary the VAT number and bank account number, of our suppliers and subcontractors and their contact persons, for the performance of the agreement, supplier management and accounting. The legal bases are the performance of the agreement, our legal obligations and our legitimate interest.

We process the data of our employees needed for recruitment, the performance of the employment contract, personnel management and payroll administration. The legal bases are the performance of the agreement, our legal obligations and our legitimate interest.

4.5 Other contacts

We also process data of other contacts, such as potential new customers, architects, partners, experts and contacts within the construction sector, for our business activities and public relations. The legal basis is our legitimate interest or, in some cases, the performance of an agreement.

5. Who has access to your data?

Within BRIQ, only the employees who need your data for their task have access to it. They are bound by the same confidentiality as in this privacy policy.

6. Do we share your data with others?

Where necessary for the performance of an agreement or for our legal obligations, we share data with service providers such as our social secretariat, our accountant and auditor, and our IT and software suppliers. This website is hosted by Combell nv in Belgium. Requests via the contact form are processed on Combell's server and delivered to us by email via Google Workspace, where our mailbox is hosted. These parties may only use your data for the assignment we give them.

If a service provider is located outside the European Economic Area, we only transfer data with appropriate safeguards, such as an adequacy decision by the European Commission or standard contractual clauses.

We never sell your data. We only share it with third parties for commercial purposes if you have given your explicit prior consent.

7. How long do we keep your data?

We do not keep your data longer than necessary for the purpose for which we collected it.

  • Requests via the website that do not lead to a collaboration are deleted no later than 5 years after your request.
  • Data of customers, suppliers and subcontractors are deleted no later than 5 years after the end of the agreement or project, unless a law requires us to keep them longer (for example for accounting or the ten-year liability) or we need them in an ongoing dispute.

8. Your rights

You have the following rights:

  • Right to information: you may know what data we process, why, on what legal basis, for how long and with whom we share it. That is the purpose of this privacy policy.
  • Right of access: you can request free of charge what data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification: you can have incorrect or incomplete data corrected.
  • Right to erasure or restriction: you can ask us to erase your data or restrict the processing, within the conditions of the GDPR.
  • Right to data portability: you can request the data you provided to us in a common, machine-readable format and have it passed on to another party.
  • Right to object: you can object to processing based on our legitimate interest.
  • Right to withdraw your consent: if processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

We do not use your data for profiling and do not take fully automated decisions about you.

You exercise these rights by emailing info@briq.be. We respond as quickly as possible and no later than within one month. If we doubt your identity, we may ask for additional information to verify that the request comes from you. In some cases we cannot (fully) comply with a request, for example because a law requires us to keep data. We will then explain why.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, tel. +32 2 274 48 00, contact@apd-gba.be. You can also go to court.
