Villa Bonheiden
Total renovation of a villa next to a nature reserve in Bonheiden
A villa next to a nature reserve, with large windows that not only let in plenty of light, but also carry the feeling of being out in nature throughout the entire home.

The brief
The existing home had a number of damp problems, which ultimately led to it being completely stripped: only the load-bearing structure was preserved. A new space for a bedroom and a bathroom had to be created on the attic floor. The greatest challenge was to fit a 4-metre-high dormer into the existing roof.
The approach
During the demolition works we first investigated thoroughly where the damp problems were coming from. We carefully resolved them one by one. We then realised the new exterior joinery, the dormer and the complete interior. The bathrooms and the kitchen were also completely renewed.
